I own a 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5i. What type of performace increases am i looking at with these upgrades?
Borla Exhaust system and STI Intake
An STI intake will not fit your car but there are other kits made for them. And by Borla exhaust system you mean a full header back kit then you may gain 20hp but if you are just looking at a cat back, than in reality you may gain 10hp with the cat back and intake. Your car really is just pretty efficient already with the factory parts and there isn't that much power to be gained from after market parts. In fact your stock intake already draws air from the fender which makes it a cold air system and a $40 drop in filter will do the same thing as a full intake kit. My suggestion would be to not waste money on power mods because it's not worth it and spend the money on some good suspension parts. Some good springs and sway bars and a good set of tires will make a huge difference int he way the car feels and you will enjoy that much more than just making the car louder.
