2001 Chevy Silverado, new ignition switch but the key is not spring back from the starting position?
I hate to tell you, but It is probably not in the switch, it is in the shaft, or how the switch was installed. It would help to know why you changed the switch, the original Symptoms would give us a clue. Be glad you do not drive a Ford, the switches are questions they have legendary, and all include "pot metal" parts in the column, which were never strong enough to handle the resistance of the springs in the actual switch on the bottom of the column. They were poorly trained, from top to below. Quit honestly, we need more symptoms to work, starting with any original symptom before you changed the switch.
