I have gestational diabetes. When do I need to code my blood glucose meter?
I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I have a home and since then have been checking everything was in order. I coded my feet for the first time and my levels were normal. All of a sudden for the last 2 days have my levels higher (with no new changes in my diet). My Meter is a OneTouch ® Ultra and I get 4 vials of test strips (each vial contains 25 Strips). All bottles in the 4 piece have code 25 on it. So I thought I only once with code 25 and it was finished. Should I code every time I need a new bottle? Or if I have a new 4-pack of bottles? I'm really confused, and I hope that my values were not wrong! I need some help correcting this because I do not have be put on insulin. Thanks:)
Code of the counter for each new bottle of strips. If the count is already the correct code for the vial NEW of stripes, then you do not need to recode. Nevertheless, it is better to just go ahead and recode for each new bottle. Get used to it, and you'll never be wrong.
