Problem with volume control on the Fender Stratocaster?
A while ago I traded my stock pickups for some vintage noiseless pickups. Most of it worked fine again when I turned out. Now that the pickups turned on so long, the volume control will not work. I the volume pot for any loose / cold joints, allowing for some solder joints. Then the volume controls are still not working. It changes little over the guitar, if it is on ... such as clay or perhaps a slight decline in volume. It's not like it does absolutely nothing ... just do not know what to do. My guess is the small jumper cable to the pickup selector switch. My biggest worry, however, the volume control.
It sounds like you soldered the ground lug on the volume control. To adjust the volume on the third tab function on the rear panel of the potentiometer that shunts the signal to ground and leads to ground the volume off completely, as you turn the knob down. Since this approach also soldered to the ground immediately below the sound system, this could be some the volume control signal is fed to control the sound. Make sure that the nose of the volume control is bent to touch the case and solder it in 3rd Place. If this does not resolve the issue then take it to your local music store and let them check it for you
