Dominator Carburator
Carburator need help.?
Ok i have a 84 Chevy Silverado daily driver so fuel economy is kinda important as well as power. It has a 290hp 350ci from GM performance it has a Holley Intake Street Dominator with a 600cfm Edelbrock carb, the carb is junk ive went through 3 of em' they all dont idle correctly even after having the man from edelbrock adjust it, in Drive it idles fine at 700rmp in park it idles at 1000rpm insted of 900 like its suppose to im stepping up to a Holley carb. what should i get? The 600 cfm Holley or should i go with something else has to be Holley i dont want a Edelbrock carb agian.
The stock carb. on a 84 chevy pickup is JUNK!!! I will never put that back on there unless someone's going to give me a million for putting it on there.
i own a shop,and id either go with the 600 or the 650 Holley ,those i know idle real good,and accelerate good also,i got one on a jeep with a 350 in it,and it does real good ,never a problem from it in 7 years,but either one of those will run it real good,the 600 is plenty enough gas for it,that should run it fine,good luck i hope this helps.
