What is the best way for the death of a 100% cotton jacket?
I want to dye a black jacket. It's original color is an olive green and it is 100% cotton Bedford. The jacket was only in the suit, otherwise I would have just bought a black one. It is a military jacket and is quite heavy Material. I've never dyed before. What brand of dye should I use and I have to run on the dye at all worried? Thanks for any help!
If it is 100% cotton, it is should not be a problem. Wash the jacket to get rid of the first target tissue sites by the manufacturer. You can try some color Remover, but it can not be used because of the industrial dye work. Go to the store and buy some RIT or Tintex trademark black dye. Follow the directions on the package. Make sure you rinse the dye until the water runs clear. Then wash and see how much dye remains. If it is relatively good cotton dye should. You can more dye and try it again if you are not satisfied with the results. And if after you hate it, you can remove color, and most of them should come out. Good luck.
