Your heat exchanger is not created "cold shock" when coolant flows. The exhaust manifolds are relatively small area for heat exchange, produces much of the block hot water. Your water pump is not explored with two entrances, rather two sockets. Stick with the factory hose routing and the right pump, which does not use a Bypass system, and you'll have no problems.
